Fertilab to open Springfield Start Up Center, July 10
Eugene, Ore. — Starting next month, there will be a new hub for entrepreneurship in downtown Springfield.
Fertilab, which currently operates a business incubator and co-working space in Eugene’s Fermentation District, will officially open the Start Up Center at 138 Main St. There will be a grand opening (with food and beverage) at the new location on July 10, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Also that night, FertiLab will be open for the Second Friday Art Walk, from 5:00-8:00, with art on display from members of the entrepreneurial community – Michael Johnson, Noell Dass, and Simrat Khalsa.
“We are committed to generating excitement and activity around tech innovation in Springfield,” said Fertilab co-founder and executive director Shula Jaron. “The Startup Center will foster an innovative entrepreneurial economy by offering a place for people to learn about entrepreneurship, and connect with peers and mentors.”
The 1,800-sq.-ft. Start Up Center will offer co-working space, a conference room and educational and networking events for members.
The Start Up Center is supported in part by the Regional Accelerator and Innovation Network (RAIN), City of Springfield, Lane County Board of Commissioners and Lane Workforce Partnership.
Fertilab Thinkubator is a non-profit organization that drives economic development through innovation and entrepreneurship. It provides co-working space, training, and hosts networking and educational events for local entrepreneurs.
