OPEN for SEPT. FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK as well!
Watershed Arts, a non-profit arts ed/arts appreciation org. will re-open with a flair at our new home at Fertilab, a creative incubator for start-up businesses in science and technology, now welcoming us as partners into their space across from the Hult Center. Thank you Fertilab for your visionary approach to the arts!
What does Watershed Arts provide? This year: approx. one talk or panel per month by artists and educators on issues in contemporary art – all designed to help folks gain skill in appreciating and discussing essential elements of art, especially how it can challenge and change us. This is no small order in a beautiful and troubled world. We will also highlight gifted artists and educators in our community and from around the world.
You will get to know both art and people you may never have heard of but should, for they are making a difference! Be prepared to hear from great artists, faculty and other community leaders, from highly established to emerging artists, from MFA students to those who use art to teach in ways we may not normally think about. We will also host events that combine learning with sheer fun. Watch our website, www.watershed-arts.org, and our Facebook page!
In addition, we will present 4 shows a year on the walls at Fertilab designed to be in service to the dialogue we promote, in contrast to purely commercial shows.
